Hi! My name is Alexis Fitch and I am 21 years old. I am a graduate of the Functional Nutrition Alliance, and a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor. I grew up in a large family, and I have ten siblings. Out of us I am the second born, eldest daughter. After high school I began working on becoming a psychologist, as I care deeply for others and was hungry to learn more about how the human mind and emotions worked. I soon discovered a passion for health and wellness and it led me onto a new path. I had always been impassioned by nutrition and I love to help others. My journey on researching forms of education for becoming a nutritionist had begun around age 19. As I was searching for this education I was learning some things along the way on my own. Sadly, there can be a lack of awareness on just how much our gut health affects our entire body’s systems. This realization commenced me into action. I knew so many people at the time with some form of inflammatory disorder and or hormone imbalances. It can make you feel so powerless to not be able to figure out why you feel the way that you do. It’s pertinent to know that nutrition affects all of our body’s systems, not just the digestive. My ambition is to help as many people as I can better understand their body’s, and to get down the root cause of their concerns and symptoms beyond conventionality, and through functional nutrition counseling.
